About this role
• Assists with planning and monitoring of all activities, from scoping to live, to ensure agreed scope and benefits are delivered in a contained project.
• Develops working relationships and communicates with a range of project stakeholders across teams to ensure actions completed, progress updated and impacts on other components managed.
• Supports the identification and resolution of issues and defects to ensure delivery to required standard.
• Build, own and manage the E2E technical delivery roadmap which incorporates plans from each dependent engineering team and or partners/suppliers.
• Take ownership of technical delivery problems, identify what needs to happen and ensure all parties who are impacted or who can help to address the problem are engaged in a timely fashion to reach a solution.
• Ensure all impacted teams understand delivery plans
• Manage and communicate forecast/spend  through the delivery against committed finances for the technical deliveries  
• Make /implement recommendations for improvements to processes and technical delivery standards. 
• Agree and manage project RACI and RAID
• Run a daily/weekly project status forum with all stakeholders. RAID/finances/status/resources 
• Manage/determine escalation process for project milestones. Provide options on recovery of the technical delivery as well as other options including re-planning/rescheduling. 
• Make recommendations on the affordability of technical delivery costs and where appropriate challenge the costs/solution. In addition, drive the discussion with stakeholders on requirements/affordability and make decisions around release scoping with stakeholders
You'll have the following responsibilities
• Story-telling with data: Strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data, analytical and presentation techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences.
• Technology and Business acumen: Knowledgeable in technology and business strategies (and their alignment to deliver what is required) and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)
• Project and Delivery Management: Experience and strong proactive skills in setting up, progressing and managing the delivery of business requirements with IT solutions through to live.
• Proactive issues and risk resolution managing the correct accountable resources to resolve/mitigate.
• Technical system knowledge and make up: In order to be able to understand what you are delivery managing and challenge where applicable to deliver successfully.

You'll have the following skills & experience
 
• Working experience of managing cross functional resources in an Agile environment
• Detail and working knowledge of modern Agile development processes in a large, fast paced, Digital environment 
• Excellent understanding of the requirements of Digital  and experience of driving forward communications around how Digital Delivery adds value to BT 
• Drives improvement plans across a range of business areas and services and understands the commercial implications of the work undertaken and improvements required 
• Ability to understand E2E designs and their operational impacts.
• Knowledge of the BT CFU Release cycles.
• At least 4-5 years' experience at Degree level and above.
• Working experience of managing cross functional resources in an Agile environment

• Excellent understanding of the requirements of Digital  and experience of driving forward communications around how Digital Delivery adds value to BT
