Software Developer - Java/C++
Role: Software developer
Mandatory Key Skills
- programming in Java/C++
- Knowledge of Database programming
- Scritpting with most of these is desirable
- Shell scripting or batch file programming
- PERL
- Javascript
- Python
- Ruby
Good to have Skills
- Familiar with Network device interfaces ( such as CLI ) and the provisioning of these devices
- Should be familiar with data and security services on these devices — e.g. Firewall
- Should be familiar with scripting and being able to script the CLI to automate provisioning of these devices
- Interact with Cisco customers/Partners
- Contribute to / be part of onsite implementation/delivery of Cisco cloud solution.
- Troubleshoot software solution/ customer reported problem inquiry and resolution of the same.
Education: BE /MCA/ Master’s degree in computer science
Experience: at least 6-8 years of experience in software development/support.
Related Certifications – OCJP ( preferred )
Generic skills:
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to automate using native scripts
- Ability to propose design and work with distributed teams
