   JD: Java/J2EE Developer Profile

 

 

The individual will be a member of the Development team responsible for development of J2EE applications for Insurance. The individual will be involved in UI development and customization of SEEC BCS components for SEEC customers.

 

 

                Education and Experience Requirements

  
•            BS/MS/MCA Computer Science or MBA (Information Systems)

  
•            Minimum of 3-4  years experience

  
•            Application development/consulting experience in the financial

      services industry

  
•            Extensive experience in application development on J2EE environments

      – Java, JSP, XML, JDBC

  
•            Experience with Source Control Software, Microsoft Office Suite and

      UML modeling

  
•            Strong foundation and expertise to formal SDLC process

  
•            Extensive design and development skills, as well as , strong

      presentation, communication and organization skills

 

 

                Desirable Skills

  
•            Domain expertise in insurance and an understanding of business

      processes in insurance industry

   Application development experience in the insurance industry

  
•            Exposure to Web Services, user interface design using JSF/Struts

      frameworks and Object-Relational mapping

  
•            Excellent documentation skills especially writing software

      specification documents

  
•            Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

  
•            To ensure timeliness and quality of deliverable is a default

      expectation
