Linux Admin
kill / Role: Linux L2/L3 -Administrator,
Relevant Experience: 3+yrs in Linux,
Key Skills Required:
•Installing, configuring and maintaining Linux Servers / Virtualization
•Account and Printer administration
•Patch and package administration
•Day to day administration task on Linux cluster
•Day to day administration task on FS sharing services and naming services like DNS, NIS, LDAP...etc.
•Understanding of Unix Security baseline
•Network configuration, Multipathing, trunking and troubleshooting using OS commands
•Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue.
•Identify system performance bottleneck and fine tune the system for optimal performance
•Changing kernel parameters.
•Installation and configuration of HA environment using Linux cluster or Veritas Cluster.
•Configuration and administration of LVM and Veritas logical volume manager.
•Installing and Maintaining kick start environment
•Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task
•Knowledge on Apache virtual hosting, SSL website configuration
•Administration of NIS or LDAP environment. Configuring Unix Security baseline.
•Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning.
•Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
•Ability to communicate technical contents and vendor management.
•Redhat / CentOS Linux Server administration, monitoring and maintenance
• Remote administration, Performance, capacity planning and monitoring
• Provide operational support on a 24x7 basis.
• Understanding of IQ/OQ Processes, GxP Standards that apply to IT Infrastructure Build and Run support
• Have experience of optimizing IQ/OQ process
• Sound Knowledge in Linux Operating system, services & utilities like NFS/AutoFS, Samba, and NTP etc.
• Able to handle most of basic to advanced calls in User, group management, system start-up, service modification, crontab entries, ACL modifications, file system management, root & OS backups
•Should have used any backup management software i.e. Legato, Net backup, TSM, VERITAS, Omni back etc. (Data protector will be added advantage).
•Working Knowledge of Linux cluster & RAID configuration.
•Should have working knowledge in performance tuning, Apache and web applications etc.
•Experience on following will be added advantage
