? Handling Critical Incidents and Preparing RCA for those incidents.
? Handling day to day VM operations such as Virtual Machine Creation/deletion, snapshot creation/deletion, performance issues
Snapshot issues, VM Image level Backup Issues, template creations for various Operating System, cloning, Migration, VMware tools upgrade, VM Hardware version upgrade, OVF or OVA deployment, Memory, CPU & disk addition etc.
? Planning and performing Installation of the vSphere ESXi host and configuring the ESXi host with best practices.
? Planning and performing vCenter 5.5 installation/up-gradation/migration with multi-tier architecture.
? Configuring SSO, Web client server, vCenter Servers in Linked mode.
? Installing syslog, Dump collector and configuring the same on ESXi hosts.
? Upgrading ESXi hosts to 5.5 from Older ESX/ESXi versions.
? Installing and Configuring VMware Update Manager and Patching ESXi hosts and other hardware specific vendor drivers for devices and monitoring offline bundles.
? Implementing HA for High availability and DRS clusters for compute resources load balancing.
? Configuring standard vSwitches and Distributed vSwitches for VM, Management, vMotion and ISCSI traffic.
? Configuring alarms and mail alerts for monitoring.
? Creating and assigning Tags to vCenter Objects and Configuring customized roles for various access requirements.
? Configuring VMs for installing Microsoft cluster services between VM servers.
? Performing V2V and P2V conversions through VMware convertor.
? Installing and configuring vShield Manager and vShield end point for integrating with Mcafee MOVE for antivirus scanning on the VMs.
? Configuring and applying Host Profiles.
? Working on internal private cloud environment with cloud360 framework for auto provisioning of VMs.
? Troubleshooting vCenter and ESXi host issues through analyzing the respective logs
Interacting with Datacenter, storage and Network teams for respective issues.
? Installing and configuring Microsoft HyperV servers both full GUI and Server core.
? Managing HyperV hosts and VMs through HyperV manager, SCVMM server and Coreconfig Tool.
? Runbook,KEDB, SOP Preparation and documentation
