Job Title: Performance Modeling Architect

Job description

The candidate will be part of the Infrastructure IP – Performance Team doing modeling and RTL analysis  (Bangalore), working on performance modeling & RTL analysis. The team in Bangalore is part of a larger global performance team responsible for the Infra IP hardware performance. Our team is engaged in all stages of architecture development, from early stage analysis and micro-architecture research/development to power/performance correlation vs. RTL and performance tuning efforts on production hardware. 
This role involves development of performance models to guide new feature development for high performance microprocessors, as well as to project performance of the next generation hardware on 
industry standard benchmarks. Focus areas are cache hierarchy, memory controller and interconnect design for Qualcomm mobile systems.
The team has had strong impact to Qualcomm mobile system architecture.

Minimum Qualifications:
•  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science,  EE or related field
•  5+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
•  Skills: Strong hold over System Verilog/UVM and any of the scripting language
•  Good understanding of Computer Architecture, caches, interconnects and memory subsystem
•  Proficiency in C/C++ programming and scripting
•  Knowledge of Memory Controller, LPDDR & DDR protocols is a plus
•  Experience in TLM and SystemC based development is a plus
•  Exposure to performance simulators (event & cycle driven modeling) and performance correlation and benchmark/workload analysis and characterization is a plus
