Key Purpose of the Role:

This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong software engineering fundamentals and a strong automation-orientated mind-set to help improve all phases of the software lifecycle, from inception through to live release. The successful candidate will be capable of moving seamlessly across development activities in multiple tech stacks and must be able to pick up new skills as they encounter new areas of challenge.
Mind-set is key: this role requires strong, innovative problem-solvers capable of managing ambiguity whilst still driving towards very high standards of delivery quality.  

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, problem resolution for critical / complex issues while ensuring code is maintainable, scalable and supportable.
• Collaborate with team members to design and build new features
• Maintain existing code by fixing defects and refactoring
• Present demos of the software products to partners and internal/external customers, using technical knowledge to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution.
• Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code and providing fixes (analyzes and fixes bugs) and workarounds, will review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions, will highlight risks and will help mitigate risks from technical aspects.
• Bring continuous improvements / efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques and reusing existing solutions.
• By means of automation, reduces design complexity, reduces time to response, and simplifies the client/end-user experience.
• Represent / lead discussions related to product / application / modules / team (for example, leads technical design reviews).
• Establishes relationships with internal customers/partners
• Accountable for all application design, solution architecture, development, transformation, modernization, and operational decisions.
• Reduce cost of ownership using contemporary technologies and solutions in L2CF Orchestration Domain.
• Provide input into Enterprise architecture product/vendor selection and roadmap. 
• Accountable for all relevant operational decisions.

Essential Skills (Skills without which the person cannot perform the role, limit to a maximum of four skills only )

• Keep senior stakeholders updated on the progress and issues affecting major and minor releases.
• Delivering positive customer experience and service delivered through the software developed. Transformational delivery experience.
• Managing stakeholder requirements and communications for major escalations.
• Creating a culture of continuous development that nurtures a world class software development practice
• Being a strong contributor within the Software Engineering profession.
• Experience in Core Java and J2EE technologies like, JMS, JSP, Servlets, Spring, XML, XSD, XSLT, and XPATH is desired
• Possess skills to handle operations challenges and in life issues.
• Strong exposure and strong in Oracle Database & Middleware skills, JS skills, Linux scripting and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of the value of rapid iteration and retrospection for engineering processes
• Eagerness to learn new technologies
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications
 
Essential

• Possess B.E. or B Tech. degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of experience in the software/IT/telecom domain with a good understanding of software engineering processes
• Possess ability to lead from front and resolve conflict situations & define a way forward (win-win for all parties)
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
