Mainframe Test Engineer
Job description
Experience Required: 5+years
Position: Mainframe Lead
Roles & Responsibilities:
• We need someone who can test application from various environment and migrate the same to Production
or Production based environment. Also, testing application on Production environment to push it for a final
release. Running batch jobs and handling test cases along with coding.
• Strong knowledge of Manual, API and Mainframe testing.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, Endeavor, File manager in Mainframe environment. OPC,
Batch, DB2 and Programming language like PL1/Cobol, REXX.
• Sound knowledge in Debugging the JCL errors and Abends.
• Person should have worked on COBOL, PL1 - Test Environment and Test Data Tools.
• Test specialists having Mainframe background with 4 - 6 years of experience in handling and managing
Testing environments.
• Keeping the test environment stable and effective handling of any major Incidents/problems and ensure to
keep the Business as Usual is expected.
• Expert in handling production (PROD) environment, migrating app from Test/Lower environment to
higher/Prod environment.
• Expert in coding JCL/COBOL.
