Sr. Network Lead

Delivery and Operations

  • This role requires individuals to work within the demands a local & global 24x7 High availability transaction oriented network.
  • Install, configure, maintain, support, and secure the organization's network communications, including LANs and/or MAN network devices.
  • Identifies network problems, isolates root causes, and initiates corrective action.
  • Determines priority of action and additional resources required, based on severity of service interruption.
  • Provides technical analysis to all customers to isolate issues and develop strategies to restore or activate services.
  • Interact with peers regarding ongoing network activities. Ascertains compliance with security, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Generates reports on network performance, trouble-shooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements.
  • Ensure quality of the delivery of services provided according to specific and defined KPIs & SLAs.
  • Oversee levers to improve efficiency on existing perimeter. Develop culture of efficiency.
  • Ensure operational risk management/reporting reviews and actions are taken for risk matrix/capacity management.
  • Ensure local strategy follows global strategy. Harmonize tooling and processes accordingly.
  • Practice Service Culture and Leadership model.
  • Develop Innovation, focus on developing talents. Contribute to peer coaching & mentoring whenever possible.


Qualifications
  • Graduate or equaling degree Certification
  • Appropriate advanced industry network certifications are preferred.
  • 8+ years of Experience in network environments (network switching, routing and datacenters)
  • Knowledge of ITIL concepts is critical
  • Experience and strong knowledge of managing in a matrix organizational structure

  • Effective interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural team environment
  • As a highly skilled specialist, contributes to the development of concepts and techniques.


Abilities / Technical skills required
  • Cisco Switches and Routers; LAN Data Center expertise; strong experience in handling LAN/MAN
  • Connectivity.
  • Scripting skills: Good experience in automation of network monitoring, L1 task automation.
  • Completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways. Ensures tasks of team are competed in a timely manner.
  • LAN & MAN Optimization techniques; Wi-Fi Network infrastructure operations
  • Dynamic Routing - Configure industry standard dynamic routing protocols
  • Strong Network monitoring tools experience
  • Load Balancing - Global DNS load balancing and local application load balancing.

JOB COMPLEXITY

Consistently works on complex assignments requiring some independent action and a high degree of
initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures. Oversees a team and coordinates
daily work covering multiple assignments.

SUPERVISION
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments with some independence. Often acts as
facilitator for group.
  • Define objectives. Ensure team's performance and risk coverage.
  • In conjunction with HR, ensure execution of talent acquisition and talent management programs.
  • Ensure workload management in its team. Provide frequent reporting.
  • Implement or develop ITIL-based culture in production related issue
Budget
Contribute to the management by providing right level of inputs for CAPEX, RECEX, Landing Plan
Re-forecast.
Contract Management: Liaise with vendor management for cost efficiency perspective, look for new initiatives and renewal of the core infrastructure platform.
