As part of GPU performance and architecture team, the candidate will be working on the latest and greatest in GPU architecture and Computer Graphics. The role revolves around working on analyzing the most popular games and benchmarks which use highly advanced rendering techniques, evaluating their performance on Qualcomm GPUs, define new optimizations/algorithms/configurations for the Adreno GPUs and modeling them to define next generation of Adreno™ GPU

**Responsibilities:**

- Conduct system level performance analysis and bottleneck analysis for intricate, high-performance GPUs and System-on-Chips (SoCs).

- Utilize hardware models at various levels of abstraction, including performance models, RTL test benches, emulators, and silicon, to scrutinize and identify performance bottlenecks in the system.

- Comprehend key performance use-cases of the product and formulate workloads and test suits focusing on graphics, machine learning, automotive, video, and computer vision applications.

- Collaborate closely with architecture and design teams to explore architecture trade-offs related to system performance, area, and power consumption.

- Develop necessary infrastructure, including performance models, testbench components, and performance analysis and visualization tools.

- Lead efforts to enhance turnaround time, identify representative data-sets, and facilitate early performance analysis in the product development cycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s (BE/BTech) or Master’s (MS/MTech) degree in a relevant field; PhD is a plus, or equivalent experience.

- Knowledge of Graphics APIs e.g. OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX, Metal

- A minimum of 12 years of experience in Computer Graphics or a related field with exposure to performance analysis and complex System-on-Chip (SoC) and/or GPU architectures.

- Profound understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture, graphics pipeline, memory subsystem architecture, and Network-on-Chip (NoC)/Interconnect architecture.

- Expertise in programming languages (C/C++) and scripting languages (Perl/Python). Exposure to Verilog/System Verilog, SystemC/TLM is highly advantageous.

- Strong debugging and analysis skills, including data and statistical analysis, and proficiency in using RTL dumps to debug failures.

- Hands-on experience in developing performance simulators and cycle accurate/approximate models for pre-silicon performance analysis is a significant advantage.
