Roles & Responsibilities: VMware Administrator Job Description Minimum of-6 years administration experience on VMware platform specifically on version 6.x and above. Hands on experience on Installing, Configuring & Troubleshooting VMware infra like ESXi/ vCenter. Worked on tasks like hosts upgrades, creating templates/clones, Snapshots, DRS rules, datastore creation etc. Must have knowledge on Cluster level features HA, DRS. Patch management of ESXi and vCenters using update manager or Lifecycle Manager. Strong knowledge related to Virtualization networking, added benefit if worked on NSX. Understand of VMware tools like vRealize Automation/ vRealize Operations / vRealize LogInsight. Working knowledge of vSAN configuration. Worked on any of the HCI infra like VxRail/Nutanix/Hyperflex. Good understanding of ESXi network connectivity and the aspects related to vSwitch, Port Groups, VLAN tagging, NIC teaming etc. Requirements ? Self-motivated, proactive, and thrive working in an environment with limited supervision ? Good communication skills. Ability to create Presentations and SOP?s Demonstrated interest in expanding knowledge in the areas of new developments and trends Demonstrated intermediate problem-solving abilities coupled with a desire to take on responsibility. ? Ability to manage workload amid shifting priorities and challenging deadlines. Preferred certifications for below products ? Worked on vCenter version 7.x, VROPS, and vSAN.
