NOC Manager

Diverse Lynx India Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru, Karnataka (Onsite) Full-Time

 Principal Responsibilities :
 

  • Line manage a team of NOC engineers
  • Make sure all shifts are properly staffed
  • Build and maintain a rota system for appropriate coverage 7 days a week, year round.
  • Maintain & update NOC processes and procedures
  • Maintain and review security policies to adhere to standards like SOC2, PCI, ISO27001
  • Make sure all systems are documented and documentation is up to date
  • Following up on all incidents according to our incident management process
  • Manage NOC projects and utilised the team's resources effectively
  • Lead the hiring process of new NOC engineers
  • Report regularly to Head of Infrastructure
  • Make sure the shift finishes all their daily tasks
  • Create concise documentation of issues, compile statistics and build reports on server and network performance is required.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You're collaborative, both an active participant and listener.  Respectful of others, communicate constructively and willingly lend a hand to help others when needed.        Excellent Linux skills
  • Previous Helpdesk experience
  • Experience with automation tools like Salt Stack, Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios or Zabbix
  • Experience with version control systems, git, svn etc.
  • Intrusion detection tools
  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Experience with firewalls
  • Some experience with L2 and L3 networks
  • Basic understanding of routing and switching
  • Virtualization like VmWare, Xen, Qemu
  • Cloud services like AWS
