Job Description:
- Managing Oracle Database appliance (ODA BASE) across varied environments.
- Providing support for Solaris, Linux in production environment & monitoring backup's
- Managing day-to-day operations by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
- Coordinating with IT management to formulate highly complex technical solutions; identifying & implementing solutions based on department initiatives; actively participating in technical planning sessions
- Monitoring & performing database activities including installation, Recovery Manager (RMAN) setup, SGA allocation, process monitoring, system performance and network and backup status
- Performing troubleshooting as required; driving problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors
- Developing new system & application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability
- Hands-on operational expertise as an Oracle DBA, and related technologies such as RAC, Data Guard, High Availability and Backup/Recovery
