Engineering - Tech Risk - Bengaluru - Vice President - Software Engineering

Goldman Sachs Bengaluru, Karnataka (Onsite) Full-Time

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL:

As a software Engineer in Tech Risk team, you will be involved in all phases of SDLC like requirements gathering and analysis, software development, testing and deploying the software to production. You will collaborate across the teams to build highly reliable and quality software by applying your expertise to drive complex, technical and commercial solutions.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Skills:

  • Highly skilled in designing, developing, testing and deploying applications using Java, J2EE technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in using REST APIs to build server side applications with micro services based architecture.
  • Skilled and experienced in effectively using version control systems such as GIT during software development.
  • Experience in interacting with Relational/Columnar databases through SQL Scripts, Query Plans etc.
  • Experience in using build tools like Gradle and Maven to manage build life cycle.
  • Decent level of experience in writing Linux scripts.
  • Skilled and experienced in using issue tracking tools and collaboration tools like Jira and confluence.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, ability to apply expertise to drive complex, technical and highly commercial solutions.
  • Ability to deliver high quality and reliable software by collaborating across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies and tools.  

Work Experience:

  • More than 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Should have at least 5 years of experience in building applications using Java, J2EE technologies.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent work-related experience in a team environment.
