Job Description:
As a ServiceNow Security Incident Response Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the technical implementation, customization, and optimization of the Security Incident Response (SIR) module within the ServiceNow platform. Your role will involve working closely with security operations teams to develop and enhance incident response capabilities, integrate with other security tools, and ensure the platform meets the organization's security needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation and Customization:
    • Configure and customize the ServiceNow SIR module to meet specific security incident response requirements.
    • Develop custom workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies to enhance the functionality of the SIR module.
    • Implement catalog items and record producers for efficient incident management.
  • Integration:
    • Integrate the SIR module with other security tools and systems, such as SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management platforms.
    • Build and maintain integrations using web services, SOAP, REST, email, and MID servers.
    • Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between the ServiceNow platform and other security systems.
  • Incident Response:
    • Develop and implement processes for effective security incident detection, analysis, and response.
    • Collaborate with security operations teams to enhance incident response workflows and capabilities.
    • Build threat detection use cases leveraging threat intelligence and incident response data
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex security incidents and platform issues.
    • Monitor the health, usage, and overall compliance of the SIR module.
    • Perform system and integration testing with sample and live data.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
    • Document products and deliver demos to operational teams
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 3-4 years of experience in security incident response and ServiceNow platform configuration
    • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Security operations modules, including Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, and Threat Intelligence
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript, Glide, and Jelly for advanced customization and integration
    • Strong understanding of security operations, incident response processes, and ServiceNow platform capabilities.
    • Experience with ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB & Asset) is an added advantage
  • Certifications:
    • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Security Incident Response (CIS-SIR) preferred.
  • Communication:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
    • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM).
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices and tools, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
