 Splunk Data Engineer
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
 
•         Enthusiastic, energetic individual with relevant 4 years of Splunk experience.
•         Splunk certified, preferably to Architect level, or working towards certification
•         Data management skills. Able to define processes around data on-boarding, perform the on-boarding and bring into production
•         Alert and dashboard management
•         Splunk application management
•         Ability to install and manage Splunk components: Indexers, Forwarders, Search Heads
•         Experience with Splunk Clusters
•         Troubleshoot technical issues to establish the root cause of problems and form a solution or workaround across a range of environments
•         Reproduce issues and if necessary file bug reports, escalate cases to Vendor, and provide necessary documentation
•         Knowledge of roles and data access management
•         Good analytical and debugging skills
•         Proven data import experience.
•         Working experience in alert handling, standard availability and performance report generation.
•         Hands-on experience in root cause analysis of post-production performance related issues.
•         Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PHP.
•         Writing XML and creating manual dashboards.
•         Worked with multiple database technologies ie: SQL, Oracle
•         Worked on multiple applications in Splunk.
