Cognos Developer
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or Cognos Planning
- Proficient in designing and creating reports primarily using Microsoft SSRS and Cognos
- Supporting clients with the application of automated and semi-automated techniques to gather and clean data from disparate databases, making it suitable for analysis
- Identifies ideas to improve report performance and impact availability
- Work effectively in Matrix environment with product team, consultants and clients, Optum Analytics
- Design and build of Transformer cubes, configure and administer a multi-server Cognos application platform and may install and upgrade troubleshoot existing applications
- Assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications
- Perform design and analysis on business systems applications, systems interfaces, databases, reporting, or business intelligence systems
- Utilize IBM Cognos ICM (formerly Varicent) to manage and analyze business problems and translate requirements into detailed functional design specifications
- Facilitate/lead design reviews (walkthroughs) of functional design with other members of the technical team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, and functionality
