Key Purpose of the Role:

To provide subject matter expertise on L2C Orchestration platform (primarily AIB) . Working as Engineering manager, driving delivery of business requirements in cost efficient manner and with superior quality, while managing work across multiple FTEs and subcon teams across locations. In addition to also work on various transformation and innovative ideas to make application and stack much efficient and future ready.

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Manage deliveries of varied complexity systems & requirements, using waterfall and/or agile delivery model
• Provide technical guidance & direction to the teams as and when required
• Provide subject matter expertise on L2C Orchestration platform (primarily AIB) .
• Drive delivery of business requirements in cost efficient manner and with superior quality
• Manage work across multiple FTEs and subcon teams across locations
• Provide technical and functional guidance & direction to team members in critical situations (act as a role model)
• Ability to relate to business needs and measure business outcome against functionalities delivered
• Manage various stakeholders (internal and external), keeping them informed on regular progress updates and addressing their concerns in timely manner
• Innovate and transform from technology and Engineering perspective, on regular basis
• Contribute to 'fit for purpose' team and maintain healthy working environment between FTE and subcons
• Drive strong engineering practices in the team
• Provide steer during debug of complex issues and guide team

Person Specification:
Essential Skills (Skills without which the person cannot perform the role, limit to a maximum of four skills only)

• Experience in engineering Java/J2EE software applications. Exposure to Microservices architecture desirable.
• Experience with good software engineering practices like DevOps, Agile Methodologies, Test Automation, Code efficiency, etc.
• Exposure to Cloud, Virtualization and Containers
• Experience with business continuity and implementation of 99.99% resilience of underlying Infrastructure
• Possess good understanding of telecom domain and L2C Orchestration space
• Ability to mentor others, alongside of upskilling own skills.
• Possess analytical skills to identify process gaps and optimization opportunities
• Manage stakeholder expectations by sending periodic updates, offer possible solutions and organize calls as required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

Essential

• Possess B.E. or B Tech. degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of experience in the software/IT/telecom domain with a good understanding of delivery management processes
• Possess ability to lead from front and resolve conflict situations & define a way forward (win-win for all parties)
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
