SDET Architect

 Position: SDET Architect

Experience: 8 – 15 years

Responsibilities
•         Write and automate test plans
•         Design & develop tests, tools, & frameworks to enable reduction of manual testing
•         Able to work independently and with team to deliver test plans and test cases successfully.
•         Write code and automated tests that are maintainable and reusable
•         Identify problems, propose solutions, and take on projects that identify and mitigate risk while measuring software quality
•         Excellent communication skills
•         Participation in design and code reviews
•         API level testing
•         Implement and Analyze automation frameworks
 
Requirements:
 
•         BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
•         8 years' experience of software test automation and software engineering
•         Proven coding skills in one of Java and/or Python
•         Automation development experience with Selenium, TestNG or similar frameworks
•         Working knowledge of databases (NoSQL/RDBMS)
•         Experience writing or enhancing test harness/framework
•         Intermediate knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
•         Extensive experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases and analyzing the functional specifications and business requirements/user stories.
•         Develops complex software tools, frameworks and utilities for validation and end-to-end testing.
•         Strong understanding of source code control
•         Writes moderately complex code that uses components like APIs and RESTful APIs.
•         Strong ability to estimate, prioritize, plan and build quality testing activities.
•         Builds, customizes, & deploys moderately complex test environments & automation frameworks.
•         Performs complex scripting, data generation, and other methods to maintain automation infrastructure throughout the software development lifecycle.
•         A deep understanding of multiple forms of software testing throughout the entire SDLC: regression, functional, unit, black-box, white box, UAT, usability, stress, performance and security testing etc.
•         Strong customer and business focused mentality
•         Experience with JIRA/Zephyr is a plus.
•         Contribute to a shared automation Framework and ensure test data integrity. Assess and react to automation suite test results.
•         Track test execution progress throughout the software development cycle.
•         Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
