Java Architect
Job Description
- Responsible for designing and implementing API enablement of our systems portfolio.
- Responsible for building integrations between the in house developed systems and off the shelf vendor product
- The role requires working with a diverse stakeholder group (ranging from IT developers/SMEs of Financing IT domain, consumers of our APIs who may be internal and external to the bank and business lines to identify new API needs).
- Must be able to lead a team on developing solutions that fully integrate and collaborate with existing
- Have a holistic view of enterprise solutions, taking into consideration operational costs, security, performance engineering, application development, and systems management.
- Must be able of playing different roles within the team, from lead architect to high-skilled developer and technical team leader to consultant and technical evangelist.
- Must have a sound understanding of API and technology architecture, mainframe development and runtime landscape, Cloud technologies (OpenShift), Java and have good communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Primary deliveries include – RESTful resource design, API contract design, API development & deployment in API Connect, build automation test suites for APIs, developer support for APIs, version and API lifecycle management, API monitoring setup using AppDynamics, production support of APIs
