Software Engineer Practitioner

Job Description:

We are a diverse and global IT product team that implements and maintains globally used services in close relationship with our business partners. Our products are based on SaaS cloud solutions from specialized vendors like Vertex and Edicom.

• Our team manages configuration, integration, and implementation of those solutions in the office environment.
• Informatica and Vertex-SAP middleware solutions ensure seamless data flows between the services and the consuming applications.
• Independently develop software (Informatica Cloud Middleware) to deliver user stories that contribute to a valuable software product supporting the large and complex Vertex launches.
• Perform, control and innovatively improve application development, deployment and testing standards for Informatica Cloud Middleware
• Plan, design and realize Data Integration, Application Integration and BPEL Service concepts in IICS and the Informatica Process Developer tool.
• Development, execution and evaluation of tests to confirm correct application functionality and to identify software deficiencies.
• Create Features and User Stories meeting business needs and Definition of Ready-criteria.
• Autonomous end-to-end incident and requirement analysis and fixes in the tax environment (Informatica Middleware, Vertex O’Series, Vertex TPE)

 

Skills Required:

• Sound knowledge in software development; preferred technologies: Informatica, SAP S/4, Cloudera and MSSQL
• Very good knowledge of BPEL processes including SOAP Web Services, XML, XSD and XSLT
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages; BASH, Python, SQL preferred.
• Experience with tools like,GitHub, uBuild, Jenkins
• Very good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Solution-oriented and can-do-attitude.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a continuously changing environment.

 

Skills Preferred:

• Attitude to provide reliable and accurate solutions based on a thorough knowledge of the applications and the business processes so that the high integrity needs are met.
• Strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify root cause of business concerns; understand & predict business 'motivators'.
• Self-motivated, very well organized, and able to work in a structured waySelf-motivated, very well organized and able to work in a structured way.
• Capability to build and maintain good relationships, work efficiently in cross-functional and global teams.

 

Experience Required:

• 3-year experience in business analysis and software development and maintenance in global environments
• Fluent in English and German (written and verbal)
• Experienced with Agile Framework & Tools and the PDO model.

 

Experience Preferred: Experience with middleware and/or ETL development.

 

Education Required: Degree in an engineering discipline, preferable Information Technologies or other equivalent qualification and work experience of more than 3 years.
