Sr Oracle DBA -- Bangalore
Role: Sr. Oracle DBA
Work Location: Bangalore
Description
- Database object level refresh request using import and export
- Taking care of database object backup.
- Execution/implementation of change plans
- Create user and grant privileges
- Execution of script/SQL statement in database
- Create and maintain database links
- Execution of DDL and DML statements
- Gather statistics in platform databases; Monitor the progress
- Materialize view refresh; Review the progress of MV Refresh
- Create scripts for MV Refresh; collect stats – should be able to monitor progress & predict ETA for completion
- Troubleshoot problems related to MV refresh & Stats collections (if any)
- Database server performance monitoring
- Review SQL performance
- Explain plan
- Long Operations
- Wait Events
- Locks
- IO statistics
- Database migration to another version (version upgrade)
- Maintenance of database TNS entries
- Dev/Stg Filer monitoring
- Start/Stop Database
- Database Housekeeping activities
- Should be able to understand clone process and monitor progress & predict ETA for completion
- Troubleshoot the clone scripts in case of issues
- Understand and correlate behavior of ETL jobs with respect to / by monitoring the DB activities in the system
- Should be Oracle Certified DBA
- 10+ Years of experience as Oracle System DBA
- Oracle RAC, Golden Gate, OEM, MV
- Should be skilled in Unix; should be able to write scripts in Unix
- Knowledge in NetApp Filers
- Experience in Data Warehousing projects is a must, preferably working with ETL teams
