Oracle DBA
Minimum 5+ years of experience with hardcore performance tuning. Expert in performance tuning for the databases of large to very large size.
Deep understanding of Oracle Performance debugging features / tools
Expertise in SQL tuning using tracing, execution plans, wait events, advisors etc.
Deep understanding of SQL Execution plan is a requirement
Golden Gate based Active / Active Replication
Detailed DB performance analysis using various tools OEM, AWR, ASH, OS monitoring tools
Understanding of Physical and logical Schema designs to drive scalability and performance requirements
Experience in SQL server monitoring tasks, server migration, performance tuning, database optimization, DB tuning for large data volumes
Excellent interpersonal skills, for collaborating across many participating teams.
Experience of running and analysing the Explain Plan and Query Plan
Proficient in SQL tuning and fluent in SQL thorough in all forms of queries viz. joins, sub-queries, group by clause analytical extensions, DML, transaction control, DDL etc.
Considerable experience and knowledge of PL/SQL, MS SQL and best practices
Proficiency with OLTP Database Environments
Experience with distributed systems OLTP/DW MPP is a big plus, but not required
Experience configuring and administering MS SQL replication and availability groups
Experience designing, building, configuring, supporting, and maintaining complex Sql queries
Experience managing Oracle, SQL Server table partitioning
Top-notch troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to document complex technical problems
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with limited supervision
Troubleshooting challenging performance issues and developing proactive measures and trend analysis
Continuously optimizing query performance through troubleshooting and tuning
Investigating potential problems and issues of SQL queries raised by users
Work with engineering team to automate reactive procedures and promote rapid response to database performance issues
Design and develop proactive tools and measures to optimize performance and take to the next level of scale
Interacting with users on educating and guiding them in query building and enhancing their existing queries
. Good hand on experience with optimizing data queries for improving performance.
