Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced ServiceNow CMDB Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow development, particularly in the area of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) implementation and maintenance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our CMDB to ensure accurate representation of our IT infrastructure and seamless integration with other IT service management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to design and implement CMDB solutions that meet business needs.
- Design and develop CMDB data model, including CI classes, attributes, and relationships.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow CMDB modules and workflows to support automation, integration, and data synchronization.
- Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow CMDB and other IT systems, such as discovery tools, asset management systems, and service catalogs.
- Implement data quality management processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of CMDB data.
- Create reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into the IT infrastructure based on CMDB data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, and security, to ensure alignment of CMDB with overall IT service management objectives.
- Stay current with ServiceNow best practices, new features, and industry trends related to CMDB and configuration management.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on CMDB implementation and management.
- Proficiency in the ServiceNow platform, including ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Orchestration, and Integration Hub.
- Strong understanding of CMDB concepts, data modelling, and configuration management principles.
- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, or Python.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT service management processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- ServiceNow certification(s) preferred.
