GIS Engineer
- Making proper digital and other maps, replicating and submitting understandable data into the systems
- Capturing the Map and other related data into GIS software to enable an accurate calculation of the area and perimeter of all features
- Capture the site services information based on the plans and digitial sources provide
- Identify and capturing the capture the location of 'assets' such as street lights, road barriers and flood defences etc., using the digitial sources
- Create and maintain the structures necessary for GIS data storage
- Use tools to join together different GIS datasets and create new information
- Collaborating with his/her co-workers in order to make sure that the maps prepared by him/her are stable and correct in agreement with the regional map standards and their location
- Preparation of regular status reports, highlighting GIS issues requiring attention
- Create and document procedures and metadata definitions
