Unix Admin
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in supporting and managing Unix operating system & infrastructure in an enterprise environment
- Experience in a 24X7 environment with thorough knowledge of Unix operating system
- Experience with installation/upgrading/configuring and troubleshooting OS
- Strong knowledge and experience in Unix OS Internals, Shell/Bash scripting, Virtualization Technologies (ESXi)
- Strong knowledge on server hardware (Client/DELL/Lenovo/IBM), Chassis & blade configuration.
- Reporting and Presentation skills especially with regard to summarizing complicated technical issues and using MS-Excel efficiently
- Identify automation opportunities in current delivery and should be able to utilize scripting knowledge to automate repetitive tasks
- Basic installation and configuration knowledge of Databases Sybase/Oracle/PostgreSQL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and a high degree of credibility are imperative
- a confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences
- capable of understanding client needs and translating this into products and services
