Detailed job description - Skill Set:
- 5+ years of deep experience in Visual FoxPro
- Knowledge of designing and developing enterprise applications using VFP
- Object oriented skills in VFP
- Good knowledge of Multiuser Programming - Managing Network Conflicts, Table and Record Locking and Unlocking, Automatic vs. Manual Locking, Reverting Data Changes, transaction processing, Working with Buffered Data Effectively
- Knowledge of using COM components and DLL / Windows 32 API /OLE in VPF code
- Data migration from VFP native database to SQL server
- Exposure to VFP application modernization /migration to modern technologies
- Knowledge of tuning VFP applications for performance will be a plus
- Knowledge of distributed set-up in VFP (Sub-Pub set up) would be a plus
- Understanding of SOA / API concepts would be a plus
- Knowledge of Retirements / Financial services industry would be a plus
