JD for Cloud engineer(Windows/Virtualization) Job Description –
•         3-5+ Years proven track record as a Virtualization (VMware) Engineer
•         Support of server operating systems to include VMWare ESX / vSphere as well as server class hardware and infrastructure.  This team will also support and maintain infrastructure related tools installed on these platforms.
•         Working knowledge of Windows OS up through Windows 2012 and above
•         Working knowledge and experience with Windows OS upgrades (in-place)
•         Working knowledge and experience with VSAN on VMWare
•         Develop and implement technical solutions based on defined business requirements.
•         Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing Client systems.
•         Coordinate and mange tasks for numerous simultaneous projects related to VMware virtual environment Enhancements.
•         Identify technical environment issues and recommend solutions to mitigate problems with OS and software issues prior to contacting the manufacturer or developer for repair/replacement.
•         Research and test recurring problems determine anomalies within supported software applications.
•         Provide expertise on virtual related systems and related infrastructure.
•         Resolve advanced and complex problems independently.
•         Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve problems escalated form IT support systems and support calls. Work with other groups and outside vendors as needed to resolve problems. Monitor entire problem resolution process.
•         Assist Tier 1-2 support teams as needed and provide Tier 3-4 support for VMware virtual hardware and operating system when required.
•         Update and create technical product troubleshooting documentation.
•         Perform special projects and assignments when necessary.
•         Provide development support to the application development teams.
 
Activities:
•         Work with Mission Critical applications in keeping onsite break/fix repairs in Dublin and COLO datacenters
•         Respond to engagements requests from business unit's needs.
•         Develop and implement solutions to support other technology teams within Cardinal.
