Minimum Experience / Relevance
Minimum 10+ years' experience in managing QA for large scale Enterprise Data Warehouse Projects in Big data , Hadoop and BI reporting's. The QA Lead will be to create efficiencies and process improvements, in line with the already in place project management process and project lifecycle. .
Skills (Mandatory)
- Minimum 10+ years' experience leading QA for large scale Enterprise Data Warehouse Projects
- Align with Genpact QA Plans, Norms, Procedures and Processes and take ownership of Data Management QA deliverables
- Must have strong exposure of managing the QA in BigData & Hadoop teams. Must have a technical bent of mind.
- Good to have experience in Life Science domain and data.
- Should have at least experience in Leading QA team on 2 DW/BI projects with one as BigData and Hadoop & any one BI tools.
Skills (Optional)
- Technical Knowledge on Data Quality, Bigdata & Tableau
- Should contribute to BI practice in terms of white papers, communicate/train on the latest updates/developments in BI space to all the teams of the practice etc
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Data Management QA work plan – including task schedule and resource requirements – for quality assurance.
- Manages and communicates QA related changes and variances to the project manager(s).
- Estimates and manages the human & non-human resources (e.g. materials, equipment) required to achieve the project QA objectives.
- Leads the Data Management QA team to accomplish QA related project cost, schedule and scope commitments.
- Meets or exceeds client satisfaction by applying sound Data Management QA management practices/Technical approach.
- Acts decisively on own authority when timely action is needed. Develop and manage creation and execution of test plans by inside and outside QA personnel.
- Sets QA team members' expectations by ensuring project team members understand the linkage of their own work to the success of the project as a whole.
- Provides training and support to Data Management QA engineers in the team.
- Identifies, manages and communicates risks defined by QA to the project manager(s).
- Guarantees QA related project documentation such as general test plans, performance test plans, scale test plan, and failover test plans maintained throughout the project.
- Drives innovation and automation of testing processes by making use of scripting tools.
- Creates an overview of all products, applications and application domains and identifies full regression test coverage. Defines necessary steps to improve coverage.
- Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with all levels internal customers and their management.
- Develop and maintain work plan – including budget and resource requirements – for quality assurance.
- Gather and synthesize requirements for QA environments.
- Providing input on quality assurance, as well as general strategic issues
- Schedules resources of the Data Management QA/test team taking into account testing needs and schedules of all projects.
- Oversees simultaneously executed project initiatives, involved in moderate to high-risk projects and may, from a QA perspective, manage multiple projects concurrently.
