Senior System Admin-

Resource to have technical troubleshooting skill i.e., requires basic knowledge of Java and VB.Net including Windows and Linux scripting.

In addition, he needs to understand license management, database management, and server maintenance as these are daily activities for continuous engineering application support.

Customer develops Windows script to automate software distribution, and if the script fails, he should know how to troubleshoot the failure.

Customer also develops custom web applications and client applications in-house, and if these applications fail, he needs to troubleshoot the failure.

Basic Job responsibility and skill requirement includes:

1. Technical troubleshooting skill in Windows, Linux, and IOS.

a. Basic knowledge in Java, Perl, VB .Net, and C#

b. Scripting language such as Win batch, Linux shell, and PowerShell.

2. System administration for license management, database management, and server maintenance.

a. License management: Able to troubleshoot, upgrade and update license managers

b. Database management: Able to troubleshoot, upgrade, schedule backup and restore

i. Has knowledge of

1. MS SQL

2. MySQL

3. Oracle database

c. Server maintenance: Able to apply changes, assess impact, and report back

i. Has knowledge of

1. Win Servers

2. Interconnection between servers

3. Tomcat and Apache HTTP

4. SVN

5. LDAP / Active Directory

3. Basic traits:

a. Strong communication skill in both verbal and written

b. Accountable for tasks given

c. Good listener and thinker. Able to think outside the box and follow direction

4. Must be willing support 9 AM to 5 PM on US business hours
