- Performs a key management and thought leadership role in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modeling, data access, data integration, data visualization, text mining, data discovery, statistical methods, database design and implementation.
- Defines and achieves the strategy roadmap for the enterprise; including data modeling, implementation and data management for our enterprise data warehouse and advanced data analytics systems.
- Partners with Business to understand the challenges and pain points, desired business outcomes and provides technical feasibility insight and solution options.
- Design, Implement and supports development end to end data warehouses, data marts, ETLs development that provide structured and timely access to large datasets
- Develops the team of data analytics and visualization development engineers and convert data into actionable insights using descriptive and predictive modelling techniques
- Have hands-on knowledge of technically architecting 1-2 big data implementations using Hadoop on Horton Work or Cloudera Distribution Eco system
- Utilization of advanced data analysis, including statistical analysis, data mining techniques, and comfortable in use of computational packages such as SAS, R or SPSS.
- Defines the technical solution vision and is able to clearly communicate this to both business (end user) audiences and technical (infrastructure & development team) audiences
- Works with an agile development team to provide technical direction during solution design and development, including the creation of logical and physical data models, data integration design, metadata definitions and models, queries, dashboards and reports and solution maintenance procedures.
- Works with agile QA team members to ensure test plans and test cases reflect desired solution functionality that will deliver the intended business value. Acts as a technical escalation point during solution testing.
- Able to deliver simple and complex end-to-end data solutions on-time, on-budget, and with a high level of quality.
