NETWORK ENGINEER - AUTOMATION

(CCIE & JNCIE CERTIFICATION IS MUST)

Network Engineer   Automation:
o Develop and maintain Python and Django based modules for network devices configuration generation.
o Develop and maintain Python based microservices used to verify generated configuration.
o Develop unit tests using Python unittest framework for the configuration generation and verification modules.
o Develop, test and maintain Python modules for parsing and caching JSON data used to generate final device configuration.
o Develop, test and maintain Python based presubmit services for validating JSON data prior to deployment.
o Design and develop a tool in Python for monitoring device compliance.
o Review Python code written by peers whenever requested.
o Update product documentation with new features and enhancements.
o Update monitoring tools pertaining to office deployments, upgrades and decommissions
o Attend weekly project manager meetings and provide update
o Provide weekly progress updates to the project manager and the team lead
o Improve documentation and implementation process
o Support various teams in developing network automation
o Provide feedback and participate in the development of other automation tools
o GO Language a plus.
o Basic understanding of the Python language, with the ability to read and understand code not written by the reader.
o Understanding of basic Python language features, such as functions, loops, objects.
o Working understanding of Object Oriented programming, and how it applies to Python.
o Understanding of logic flow through an application.
o Experience / understanding of writing testable and reusable code.
o Understand the process of testing and debugging code.
o High work ethic and understanding of support role automation plays in the overall Network Deployment and Implementation
o CCNP and/or JNCP preferred
o Experience with Layer 2 protocols
o Experience with routing protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6)
o Experience with WAN Technology (MPLS, VPN, DMVPN)
o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), as these skills will be required to translate networking skills and requirements into software automation and ability.
o Ability to diagnose basic technical problems and find the root cause
o Scripting and automation experience strongly preferred
