2 Assign project roles to InfoSphere DataStage suite users in the InfoSphere DataStage Administrator client 3 Use the Administrator client to create, delete, and configure projects 4 Use the Designer client to create and edit jobs and other objects 5 Monitoring and analyzing the audit usage data to ensure the optimal usage and efficient performance of the infrastructure. 6 The position will work with the application administrators and development teams to ensure the shared environment resources are optimally utilized. 7 Document Runbooks for the installs, Disaster Recovery plans etc. 8 Stop/start services, monitor logs, setting up Security, assigning roles, project permissions, Create/Delete projects, create/modify environmental parameters etc.. 9 Monitor the InfoSphere suite (Data Stage/Quality Stage) servers. Kill/assist release job locks, shared memory locks, hung processes etc... 10 Apply fixes, patches and service packs as required. Ensure infrastructure and application stability through preventative maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing long term solutions. 11 Capacity planning for new projects in the shared environment. 12 Liaises with product vendors and technical specialists (IBM or similar) to resolve issues.. 13 Space and server load management and balancing,,Regular housekeeping in order to maintain server stability,Performance tuning and resource utilization monitoring. Able to work INDEPENDENTLY and closely with Architects, Application Development teams, DBAs, Server teams & Networking Teams, for implementing optimal solutions using proven best practices. Primary responsibility will be to build the platform for Client on RHEL 7.9 and latest version of Datastage. IBM InfoSphere DataStage is an tool and part of the IBM Information Platforms Solutions suite and IBM InfoSphere. It uses a graphical notation to construct data integration solutions and is available in various versions such as the Server Edition, the Enterprise Edition, and the MVS Edition. It uses a client-server architecture. The servers can be deployed in both Unix as well as Windows.
It is a powerful data integration tool, frequently used in Data Warehousing projects to prepare the data for the generation of reports.


DataStage Admin skill set required :
primary responsibility will be to build the platform for Client on RHEL 7.9 and latest version of Datastage.
• Assign project roles to InfoSphere DataStage suite users in the InfoSphere DataStage Administrator client
• Use the Administrator client to create, delete, and configure projects
• Use the Designer client to create and edit jobs and other objects
• Monitoring and analyzing the audit usage data to ensure the optimal usage and efficient performance of the infrastructure.
• The position will work with the application administrators and development teams to ensure the shared environment resources are optimally utilized.
• Provide infrastructure operations support and administration of the 11.5 and 11.7 DataStage environments. This includes setting up and testing new installations of DataStage, QualityStage and Information analyzer.
• Engineer and Install/upgrade Information Server product suite. Post install Configuration, various data sources configuration for the plug-ins, connectors as well as ODBC configurations.
• Document Runbooks for the installs, Disaster Recovery plans etc...
• Stop/start services, monitor logs, setting up Security, assigning roles, project permissions, Create/Delete projects, create/modify environmental parameters etc.
• Monitor the InfoSphere suite (Data Stage/Quality Stage) servers. Kill/assist release job locks, shared memory locks, hung processes etc...
• Apply fixes, patches and service packs as required. Ensure infrastructure and application stability through preventative maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing long term solutions.
• Capacity planning for new projects in the shared environment.
• Liaises with product vendors and technical specialists (IBM or similar) to resolve issues.
• Rebooting server / client services
• Space and server load management and balancing
• Regular housekeeping in order to maintain server stability
• Performance tuning and resource utilization monitoring
