Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose: (Provide details on why does this job exist/what it must achieve, Preferable in one or two sentences.)
To ensure that All the process and utility machines perform to their expected std level keeping safety, quality and food safety in mind.
Dimensions of this Role:
This position is responsible for planning preventive and all adhoc maintenance and their execution. .
To provide technical support to all the technician related to technical queries and to provide support with proper tool and spare parts.
The incumbent has the support of technician, helpers, welders, turners, shift engg. and foreman. Key Responsibilities: (Write 7 to 10 major duties.)
01. Responsible for developing and updating the preventive maintenance plan, depending on machine requirements and practicality.
02. Responsible for identifying and maintaining the critical spares.
03.Responsible for ensuring that the Safety Procedures and SHE are implemented and followed throughout the plant
04 . Responsible for ensuring coordination of function between Production and Maintenance.
05. Responsible for maintaining the asset register as new parts come in and old ones are sent to scrap.
06. Responsible for maintaining warranties.
07. Responsible for ensuring that work request forms are filled in and the data in filled forms is transferred to computerized reports and kept in a folder.
08. Responsible for insuring that special tools are used by trained and authorized personnel.
09. Responsible for ensuring that special tools issuance is heavily controlled.
10. Responsible for forming weekly reports from logs and preventive maintenance checklist. Also responsible for ensuring that these checklists are filled out honestly.
11. Responsible for optimal labor utilization and performance.
Qualifications, Experience & Competency:
Diploma in mechanical engg with more than five years of exp in food, pharma and beverages sector.
Complexity: (Provide examples of decisions made and/or problems solved that require analyzing data or complex issues.)

2. Allocation of man power

Authority level: (Provide examples of innovations or creative approaches used and indicate the frequency with which they are performed. Indicate the degree to which this position is governed by procedures and standards).
