Docker/Kubernetes Technical Specialist
As a DevOps Engineer you will build, maintain and support a highly available application infrastructure stack running at AWS. In order to accomplish this, you will work closely with Client's Product/Engineering and TechOps teams to understand how the Business Applications utilize the infrastructure and implement monitoring/alerting for these applications. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to drive changes, automate processes and provide continuous improvements in system performance, reliability and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy infrastructure solutions that meet the customers' business needs using cutting edge technologies
- Automate infrastructure build process for continuous deployments
- Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment systems and methodologies on AWS
- Maintain strong communication channels between operations and development (DevOps) to ensure cooperation between teams
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of production and development environments for our customer facing applications
Key Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of Systems Engineering in 24x7 Production environment
- Fluency with at least one current generation scripting language used by DevOps professionals (Python, Perl, PHP, Ruby)
- AWS, Jenkins, Terraform, Full stack application (NodeJS, Java/Tomcat, NoSQL DB)
- Direct hands-on experience with AWS services
- Building/Maintaining Docker container clusters managed using Kubernetes, Linux, Bash, Git, Docker.
- Experience working on several Docker components like Docker Engine, Hub, Machine, creating Docker images, Compose, Docker Registry and handling multiple images primarily for middleware installations and domain configurations.
- Experience in Implementing Continuous Delivery pipeline with Docker, Maven, Ant, Jenkins and AWS.
- Experience with AWS container services (ECS & EKS) and Docker engine to deploy micro-services
