JOB DESCRIPTION:

The GL Consultant role is highly visible with frequent interactions with the leadership positions in the organization. This position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and will work closely with the Company’s Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury and Corporate IT leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•        Manage and coordinate the statutory audit process for entities outside the US.

•        Prepare and manage statutory financial statements and footnotes.

•        Assist in the preparation / gathering of audit requests in coordination with the global accounting and tax departments.

•        Develop processes to streamline statutory audit deliverables.

•        Keep current with significant changes in US and international accounting rules.

•        Ensure that financial records and reports are maintained in compliance with company policies in US and local GAAP.

•        Work with internal and external auditors to meet quarterly and annual audit requirements.

•        Assists in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and worldwide consolidation of actual results.

•        Assist in the filing of the 10Q and 10K as needed.

•        Assist with system transformation, and process improvement projects as sponsored by the Chief Financial Officer and/or SVP, Global Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•        BA/BS in Accounting

•        4+ years of accounting experience 

•        Experience with the preparation of financial statements and external financial reporting 

•        Strong working knowledge of US GAAP required.  Familiarity with IFRS preferred.

•        Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Intermediate of Microsoft Word

•        Knowledge of financial accounting / reporting preferably within or associated with publicly traded multinational Company.

•        Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•        Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
