ASSISTANT EDITORS / ASSOCIATE EDITORS

Zen3 is looking for candidates with 6-8years of digital journalism experience to help drive daily content programmingfor Microsoft’s website (MSN.com) and its apps on the Windows 8 platform.

Thisis a unique opportunity for talented and innovative digital journalists to be apart of a team that’s innovating in the field of consumer content. Thesecandidates will be required to work with a team of editors handling variousgenres to produce an extremely high quality of content programming to engageand delight users, as well as support a variety of business objectives.

Abilityand experience to produce/implement audience-focused content initiatives arekey attributes of this role. Familiarity with online content publishing toolsis a must, as is experience in working with technology teams.

These positionsare for India market and based in Delhi/ NCR. These media products are updatedaround the clock, so you can expect to cover a variety of shifts – mornings,evenings and weekends – but as per a transparent roster. You’ll also berequired to work with editors across different time zones.

The candidatesshould have experience in handling a variety of content genres across digitalplatforms. An experience of working in television and digital newsrooms will bea big differentiator.

Required Skill

• Experience of working in a fast-paced newsroom environment with a team of content editors/producers.
  

• Proven ability to choose from a wide range of stories and select those that offer the greatest currency and the deepest relevance with an unbiased and objective narration of the facts.
  

• A keen understanding of the best, most elegant writing offered by high-quality news outlets.
  

• Solid journalistic skills and strong knowledge of news, finance, sports, entertainment and lifestyle topics of interest to the audiences in India.
  

• Attention to detail, an appreciation for strong visual presentation and a passion for editorial excellence.
  

• Ability to work with all kinds of content genres like text, pictures, graphics and videos.
  

• Good knowledge of engaging with the audiences on social platforms.

•         Determining the right content mix frompartners across a variety of general interest news, finance, sports,entertainment and lifestyle topics.

•         Creation of headlines and abstracts forpromoting the contents across all entry points within the network and socialmedia platforms.

•         Programming across the content calendarwhile taking into account business priorities and determining the best way toachieve strong business results.

•         Working with editorial processes andworkflows by adopting the content management system created by the company forthis purpose.

•         Working closely with technical teamswhen required to develop or enhance storytelling and publishing tools.
