Level 1 – Linux Support – Job Description:-


 


1.       Monitoring Critical server from Tier level


2.       Associate must be strong at Communication skills, should possess Strong Linux skill


3.       Reviewing of all the error logs and fixing it
Providing support to VIP users, and LAN users during escalated supports


4.       Communicating with the staff, vendors and customers in a courteous, professional manner at all times has to be one of his traits.


Level 2 – Linux Support – Job Description:


 


1.       Associate must be strong at Communication skills, should possess Strong Red Hat Linux and Other Linux skill as primary and secondary


2.       Reviewing of all the error logs and fixing it
Providing support to VIP users, and LAN users during escalated supports


3.       Communicating with the staff, vendors and customers in a courteous, professional manner at all times has to be one of his traits.


4.       Every Linux administrator is responsible for installing the necessary procedures and security tools. 


5.       Linux administrator's duty is to upgrade the software installed on to the server, including upgrading virus software and code upgrades.


6.       Ability to work with Linux-friendly applications and able to troubleshoot it when issue arises from the server.


7.       Should be able to do User, group account creation, deletion and maintenance individually


8.       Should be able to handle individual systems based services start, stop, and suspend


9.       Should be able to handle Linux firewall


10.   Should be able to work under pressure under any circumstances


11.   Should be able to create, modify and reuse documents such as SOP, and process documents


12.   Should be able to handle hardware maintenance mode and troubleshoot from HW console


13.   Should be able to work diligently with incumbent team without any communication issues
