Key Responsibilities
This position requires a strong self-starter with solid technical programming background and influencing skills, who can lead the way, assist teams with architecture, design decisions, coding, trouble shooting and any other technical issues related to moving existing or creating new applications into Cloud(AWS) & PaaS.
- Technical expert with responsibility of delivering Cloud (AWS)/PaaS platforms.
- Responsible for delivering and providing technical expertise for design and day-to-day perspectives.
- Identify new improvements / requirements on Cloud (AWS)/PaaS, propose and deliver.
- Train and upskill Ops team members to understand cloud principles and requirements from infrastructure, DevOps and application perspectives.
- Be the trusted advisor to the customers.
- Ensure delivery in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
- Stakeholder management across various Technology and Business teams.
- Ensures that technical solutions are fit for purpose including functional, non-functional and support requirements of Global Technology Strategic direction
You will partner closely with Global Enterprise Architecture, the Platform Operations & Application Delivery product teams.
Experience and Qualifications Required
The ideal candidate will have experience in
Technical consultancy in the Cloud Implementation space
- With tangible AWS / Azure implementation experience
- Automation specialist that can illustrate the required experience & passion for "automating everything”
- Experience of products such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell DSC ideal but Chef / Puppet & the like are relevant
- Demonstrable understanding of the Cloud security challenges
- An understanding of the Hybrid Cloud security challenges
- Knowledge of APIs, caching, messaging, networking etc.
- Developing multi tier performant quality applications in multiple different clouds
- TDD best practises following CI/CD pipelines, working to agile product Kanban methods is useful to have.
- Strong communication skills & a desire to empathise with the customer a must.
