API Lead
As Lead of Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for managing a team of API Testers and Quality Engineers to define and deliver automated testing solutions on a multi-tierd system for high quality product release. You will own release delivery with highest quality on the targeted deadline. You will be leading the QE team for designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks as well as extending automation. You are expected to contribute towards test architecture design discussions, as well as work with development teams, product managers, other technical leaders, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Responsible for delivering the releases with highest quality for micro-services and co-ordinate with other dependent teams to maintain quality across all dependent systems
Responsible for leading API Automation/Functional Testers and Quality Engineers to build and deliver high quality products
Deliver robust automation frameworks built upon established and proven open source or commercial tools
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team of Automation and Functional Test Engineers
Encourage and drive initiatives which promote innovation and technical excellence
Constantly look for improvements in software development and testing processes
Create metrics to measure effectiveness, coverage, and regression cost reduction
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 10+ years of related experience in software industry
A proven track record as a Quality Engineering/SDET Lead, including 5+ years of technical experience as an SDET or Test Architect or related role
Proficient in Software system architecture includes but not limited to capacity/load management, integration interfaces and client side architecture
Experience in designing and implementing continuous delivery platforms
Proven expertise to automation frameworks
Experience in building automated testing solutions to cover middle tier, and backend interfaces and services.
Support continuous improvement processes, analyzing problems and recommending actions for effective resolution
Good business sense, good people management skills and strong analytical skills are required
