Job Description: SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will take ownership over the software design, documentation, development, engineering approach, delivery and support of new Amazon Pay products. A successful Software Development Engineer will have a broad array of experiences, exceptional design skills, an excellent ability to solve problems, good communication skills and a desire to be a key technical contributor. The software you will be responsible for will require a breadth of technical development knowledge . Daily work will involve interacting with engineers, product stakeholders and managers.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2. Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design 3. 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
4. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
5. Experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using Java, Scala, Go, C#, or C++
 
PREFERRED SKILLS
1. Experience taking a lead role developing complex software systems that have successfully been delivered to customers.
2. Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs and product strategy.
3. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations
