IT Technical Specialist/IT Support Engineer(Service desk)

Job Details

IT technical specialist:
 Responds to hands on issues reported through the Service Desk
•          Escalation point for Service Desk Tier 2 on all complex issues
•          Identify and facilitate workstation equipment order requests to Procurement
•          Work with Client to collect, inventory, store, and schedule disposal of IT equipment per internal agreement with Asset Management Service Owner
•          Wipe assets scheduled for disposal of all local drive information
•          Wipe/rebuild/reload of assets for redeployment as needed
•          Provide vendor-certified hardware break/fix services, working with hardware vendors as needed
•          Responsible to provide IT support and maintenance of desktops, laptops & physical network connectivity to the workstations.
•          Support a large network of local and remote computer users.
•          Installation of Desktop OS.
•          Installation, configuration and troubleshooting Office 365 products and other applications.
•          Troubleshooting hardware, network, printers, and software applications.
•          Installation of all kind of printers and basic troubleshooting knowledge.
•          Ensure compliance with all Koch policies & procedures in all related areas.
•          Handling new software standard exception requests.
•          Initiating the IT procurement and asset management.
•          Coordinating with service providers to solve other IT infrastructure issues.
•          Processing IT related material invoices (GRN).
•          Experience in ticketing tools for users request and problems management.
•          Managing conference room equipment.
•          Troubleshooting for known errors and workarounds


 IT Support Engineer(Service desk)
Skills: 
•          Responds to hands on issues reported through the Service Desk
.           Technical knowledge and understanding of print and labelling issues, especially in production and logistics areas (hard- and software)
.           General know-how in hardware clients, devices, operating systems
.           Experiences in hardware topics (especially regarding industrial PC, handhelds/scanners, mobile computers/forklift terminals)
.           Knowledge of the appropriate operating systems (like Windows, Windows Embedded CE, maybe also Linux or Android)
.           Adequate knowledge of programming and scripting languages
.           Basic know-how in the needed technologies regarding connectivity, network, interfaces and ERP integration
.           Basic know-how in appropriate device management systems
.           If possible, a basic understanding of the supported business processes in production and logistics
.           Proficiency in English
.           Good communication skills
.           Customer oriented
