Job description of Software Test Engineer position with CDP

• Experienced Software Test Engineer who understands the mobile apps, consumer appliances and cloud system with hands-on experience with testing complex software systems.
• The candidate will create test cases from software requirements or specifications and execute them with reporting test results and reporting defects in to defect database.
• Smart, creative, and team-oriented, who can get things done with a big appetite for taking risks and experimenting with apps on mobile and on tablets
• Fan of Android and iOS mobile products
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Excellent teamwork, personal time management, ability to communicate technical issues
• Agile software development processes, Software QA and testing methodologies
• Testing and debugging client / server software solutions, Software Development Life cycle
• Knowledge / experience in Android and iOS SDK
• Experience in automated UI testing, automated functionality testing is a plus
• Worked with bug database and bug reporting software tools
• Experience in any programing language (C, C++, C#, Java) scripting any (Calabash, Cucumber, Python, Perl), Cloud Platforms, SQL or NoSQL is an asset.
• Analyze software features and create test cases
• Identify, verify, report, and regress bugs; perform root cause analysis to identify issues
• Post processing test logs and results for generating comprehensive test report
• Identify and analyze opportunities for test coverage and test process improvement
• Participate in the design reviews and test planning reviews for new features
• Continuously innovate new ways of test development and of test execution
• Be able to stretch extra mile to accomplish the committed test execution tasks and bug reporting
