CUSTOMER ASSISTANT -JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title : Customer Assistant
Reports to : Section Manager
Purpose of the Job Role
Responsible for understanding customers' needs and assisting customers accordingly
Responsible for supporting the team by meeting sales, service and process targets
Key Accountabilities
Ensure achievement of sales targets working as part of a team to achieve these
Ensure minimization of costs by controlling wastage, handling merchandise properly to avoid shrinkage in the store
Build relationships with customers and understand customer needs
Manage customer complaints and queries
Ensure visual merchandising standards are adhered to and standards are maintained
Ensure merchandise is handled correctly through the correct stock management processes
Develop cashiering skills to serve the customer effectively
Follow company processes and guidelines for store operating procedures
