Job description
We are looking to hire a Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP Senior Developer who has hands-on development experience in Navision and Business Central ERP, with excellent technical and communication skills, to effectively collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to understand their needs and work with 3 different teams across Europe and US to develop functionality and enhancements. Duties will include overseeing all activities within the team along with coding, scripting, configuration and troubleshooting of existing Navision and new projects on Business Central. The Senior Developer will also be responsible for task assignment and training to junior developers and perform other duties as assigned, that are in line with the role’s responsibilities and are required for the business.
The ideal candidate should understand both business process and the software development lifecycle and use agile methodology to design, develop, test, and implement solutions that deliver on end-user needs on time, in quality and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Be a mentor/guide to a team of Business Central/Navision developers/testers.
- Work assignment, distribution, task estimation, goal planning and conducting performance reviews as per company policy and as necessary.
- Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
- Develop software solution based on Microsoft Navision and Business Central ERP platform.
- Analyze, debug/troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to ERP and other application implementation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Business Central customizations, applications, extensions and integrations.
- Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
- Create testing and implementations plans, including user training, UAT and documentation.
- Active participation through all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Remain current with Microsoft technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Between 7-10 years of hands-on experience in developing, implementing and supporting ERP projects on Microsoft Business Central and Navision in manufacturing industry.
- Deep understanding of the process of major ERP modules: purchases, sales, customer relationship, service, manufacturing and finance.
- Experience in leading and managing a team of developers and testers.
- Very familiar with JavaScript, C#, Microsoft Cloud solution, HTML and ASP.NET.
- Expertise with SQL server databases and query writing.
- Hands on experience in ERP migration from Navision to Business Central.
- Hands on integration experience between Business Central with other Adds-on.
- Knowledge of source control and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience working on an Agile development team preferably using SCRUM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without supervision.
- This role will work either in the UK shift (12 noon to – 9 pm). The UK shift employees could be requested to work in the US shift on rare occasions to support the business during a critical issue or for any releases/migrations that maybe scheduled.
