Title: ServiceNow ITOM Developer
Contract
Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB solutions.
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Configuration Management.
- Customize ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, and notifications to support ITOM and CMDB processes and automation.
- Configure and maintain the CMDB data model, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration item (CI) information.
- Integrate ServiceNow with other ITOM tools and external platforms using APIs and web services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement ITOM and CMDB best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and ITIL processes.
- Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations and customizations to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ServiceNow applications, troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary fixes or enhancements.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow releases and ITOM/CMDB-specific features, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
- Collaborate with other developers, administrators, and business analysts to deliver integrated solutions that meet the ITOM and CMDB needs of the organization.
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and standard operating procedures for ServiceNow applications and configurations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on ITOM and CMDB.
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Configuration Management.
- Proficient in ServiceNow development and configuration, including workflows, business rules, UI policies, and scripting using JavaScript.
- Experience with ServiceNow integration using APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices related to ITOM and CMDB.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITOM or CMDB are highly desirable.
